Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I'm sure we've all come across this at least once in our lives. Men, you may hate this entire topic and this has probably lead to females dumping you because your signs aren't compatible. I'm here to rewrite this process. Choosing someone based on if your signs attract is a bad idea. Why? Let's discuss.
It's a pseudoscience: What does this mean?
Oxford will explain:
a collection of beliefs or practices mistakenly regarded as being based on scientific method.
Over 2,000 years ago the Babylonians decided that the stars were responsible for ones fate because of common traits. This is outdated science and has become more of a belief than anything. It is a myth and has been passed down from generation to generation and has become part of our myths and legends. Like the vampires, werewolves and many other myths. They capture the imagination or in the case of star signs, they give you false hope of a book on life and how to approach it. Technology, science and many other subjects have progressed far beyond believing stars will determine our future and how we should act. So if you really do believe that we should be basing our entire relationship and happiness on our stars that were determined 2,000 years ago, maybe we should get rid of our other current cars and trucks as they must not be as good as an old horse and cart. Why not go all the way? No? Not interested? Ah, okay. Well sorry to burst your bubble but you are talking about science that was science over 2,000 years ago. It's the same as believing the earth is flat. It has instead become part of culture and our beliefs but should not be followed like a recipe.
Earth is like a top: We all know earth has an axis and spins on it like a top and not like spinning a ball on your finger. So what? Well as the earth spins and moves, our perception of the night sky changes as well. In otherworld's, back when pyramids were built, our stars looked completely different and you may have a hard time trying to find where your star sign is suppose to be.
Your sign isn't actually your sign: There were actually 13 signs, not 12. So this entire time, you may have believed you were one sign when in reality, if added the 13th sign, it completely changes. So were you ruled by your actually sign, or the one you believed to be yours?
People's experiences change their behaviors: Say you are naturally an outgoing person, center of the party like your sign dictates. Then a bad experience that traumatizes you. Maybe your outfit falls apart in front of everyone. Or you were dancing and slip in front of everyone taking the juice table with you. How many of you would be able to laugh it off and continue to jump to the center of the party? Most of you would be so embarrassed that you may end up hiding away for a bit till the gossip died down. What happens when it doesn't? Or maybe you are a reserved person that joined the military and was forced to become more outgoing by the people you were around. Our experiences can drastically change our personalities as we grow older. You may find that you don't fully fit the sign. But then they tell you, "wait there's more!" What about the way the moon looked the day you were born? While there are are personalities and traits that we are born with, your star sign does not predict your future or who you will fall in love with.
Why would you restrict yourself to a smaller group: If you go off of your star sign, you'll find that the signs you match with greatly reduces your selection to choose from. In a time where less and less men decide to get married, further shrinking your population of available men based on your star sign match is a risky decision. On top of all that, men hate star signs. As soon as a woman mentions it and acts like she really believes it, it can be a red flag. Again there are 12 or 13 signs, depending on what you believe, so by only looking for that one match you are reducing your chances of finding someone by at most 11 other signs. (if you only believe in 12 signs) Star signs are fun to joke about, but trust that it does not lay out your fate like a book.
Believing the star sign determines your fate can lead to no self improvement: Aquarius's fault says they can be Impatient, stubborn and emotional. What if someone did have these faults but worked on them through self improvement. You go on a date and find out you aren't quite a match. Go home to research their star signs and see the common faults. Then you decide against going out with them. You would've have turned down someone who had improved on themselves based on a star sign's common flaws without any care to who they were or how they have changed. Again, sticking to the idea that there is not self improvement. If you believe this, why would you even try to self improve at all? What's the point of bettering yourself if your fate is laid out in the stars? Honestly ladies it's time to wake up. Sure have a good laugh at the signs but don't let science from over 2,000 years ago rule your life.
Again as always take your future into your own hands. Decide your own fate.
